Gioacchino Manfredi, fixed term professor of Analisi e modellistica dei Sistemi, Modellistica e simulazione and Metodi e tecnologie di simulazione (SSD ING-INF/04) at the Faculty of Engineering, e-Campus University. He is currently a PhD student in Control Engineering at Polytechnic University of Bari. He graduated in Control Engineering (with honours) at La Sapienza University in 2018 with a thesis entitled: “Preventive Controller Optimal Design for Critical Infrastructure Security” in the framework of the European project ATENA (Horizon 2020).
His research activity encompasses the field of control systems. In particular, his research interests concern Adaptive video streaming Quality of Experience (QoE) control techniques, efficient exploration methodologies in reinforcement learning, safe reinforcement learning and control system security.
