Lucio Melone is associate professor of Chemical Fundamentals of Technologies at Università Telematica eCampus since 05/06/2019. He obtained a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at University of Naples “Federico II” (Italy) in 2001 (110/110), a PhD in Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2009 and a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering at University of Pavia (Italy) in 2019 (105/110). He got the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) as associate professor in the following fields: Chemical Fundamentals of Technologies (CHIM/07), Organic Chemistry (CHIM/06), Industrial Chemistry (CHIM/04). Moreover, He was awarded with the qualification as “Maitre de Conference” (associate professor) in organic, inorganic and industrial chemistry by the French Republic.
Organic synthesis, organic catalysis, supramolecular chemistry with a particular focus on the development of vectors containing nitroxyl radicals for in vivo imaging, functionalization of polysaccharides for biomedical and environmental applications. Co-author of: 56 papers published in international journals WoS/SCOPUS indexed (2009-2019), 6 chapters in international books (Wiley, Elsevier, Nova Science, InTech). Co-inventor of 1 European Patent (granted), 3 international patent applications (PCT) and 2 italian patent applications.
